TRANSIT researcher Flor Avelino has recently traveled to Hong Kong, where she was invited to present her perspective on transformative social innovation and on the TRANSIT project.
On the 14th of October, Flor held a seminar at the HKCT Institute of Higher Education (CT IHE). Their “Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Social Development Studies” was the first programme on Social Development in Hong Kong.
Saturday, the 15th of October, during the “Social Development Conference 2016: Social Economy and Social Development”, TRANSIT was represented by Flor, as a keynote speaker. This conference was organized by the Department of Applied Social Sciences of the HKCT Institute of Higher Education (CT IHE).
At the conference, the covered topics varied from: regional trends on social innovation, history of social economy in Hong Kong, social economy in China, to transformative social innovation and alternative economies in Europe.
