Alex Haxeltine is Senior Research Fellow in Transitions Research in 3S, where he leads research on the role of social innovation and social movements in transitions to sustainability. He has played a key role in a number of European research projects including MATISSE: Methods and Tools for Integrated Sustainability Assessment and ADAM: Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies (both Framework 6) In the MATISSE project, he led a team of researchers from across Europe to develop a highly novel approach to representing the dynamics of social change in sustainability transitions.
