Research Area:
Sustainable Cities, Urban Management, including sustainable building, transition of urban technical infrastructure and user-driven development processes. Cities are interpreted as large, complex socio-technical systems. Special focus on governance of transitions of urban technical infrastructure towards enhanced urban quality and sustainability. Developing methods for multi-actor involvement in transition and innovation processes, for instance the EASW – Environmental Awareness Scenario Workshops, used for discussion of sustainable urban futures in a large number of European cities 1995 – 2005.
