Transition Town Tooting is a Transition initiative that was first established in the South London district of Tooting in March 2008.
Transition inititiaves are grassroots networks of activists who work voluntarily to address the issues of climate change, peak oil and local economic resilience. The movement started in Totnes, UK in 2006 and has since spread to various countries accross the work. Various books and guides have been published to help communities set up their own Transition initiatives and an international network also exists.

Transition Tooting has developed a range of different projects including an annual 'Foodival' and a 'Trashcatchers' Carnival.
